A picture of Noyes Blvd when it first opened — note there is both a car and horse/buggy sharing the road on he left. The Noyes Home is on the right side, this is looking north towards Frederick. This section of the street was 28th until it underwent the transformation to a “boulevard” and was renamed. This picture was used in a book promoting St. Joseph which was published in 1918.
